ERNESTO BAFFA TRIBUTE TO THE OCCASION OF HIS DEPARTURE TO MEET WITH BIG TANGO THAT HAD "STEPPED OUT TOURED"

Argentine tango icon, Ernesto Baffa died on April 11, 2016, at age 83 after being hospitalized for two and a half months in a Buenos Aires clinic.

Baffa was very weak and had his picture after a fall that caused him breaking his hip worsened.

"He was alone, he went with Troilo," Paul, the son of Ernesto Baffa, Telam said, noting that his father did not stop playing until the last moment.

Born in Floresta in 1932, Baffa was a musician, director and composer. he shared the stage with Troilo, Goyeneche, Rufino and Piazzolla, among many others, renowned bandoneon player, conductor and composer and one of the most important figures of tango, a member of the orchestra of Anibal Troilo for more than 15 years.

He debuted in the orchestra of Héctor Stamponi in 1948 and in 1953 joined the Horacio Salgán as first bandoneon replacing Leopoldo Federico.

Its excellent sound and mastery of the instrument were undoubtedly evidenced in many of the solos he played with that group, "Responsa", "Entre tango and tango" and the milonga "Tribute". In 1959, he became the orchestra of Anibal Troilo, where he remained for almost 15 years.
